The Green Vehicle Project

We became concerned that the majority of the electronic waste collected was simply being shipped to developing countries where it is causing an environmental crisis. In 2007 RMDT began researching the feasibility of manufacturing products using materials recovered during the proper recycling of electronics.

The result is the recent announcement of our plans to manufacturer an earth friendly, small electric vehicle using a high percentage of recycled materials.

We have been working on our “proof of concept” vehicle for over two years and are now moving to the next phase of vehicle development. This phase will involve factory site selection, manufacture of prototypes and selection of suppliers for non-proprietary sub assemblies.

In 2009 RMD Technologies received preliminary approval from the SAE to issue Vehicle Identification Numbers as an EV manufacturer.
